How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

What is up with the Front Page?

What is going on with the popular section of DA the Front Page?

They use to have decent stuff and everyday I found a few things I liked. Then recently it looks like it has been drawn by 12 year olds. I hardly see the usual "popular artists" (those same artists that make the front page every other day). It's just irritating because I see photos taken of Bratz dolls, demotivationals, horrible cosplay photos, stupid emo ass poems, artwork by 12 year olds apparently, and of course, the crass vajayjay shots turned black and white to make look "artistic".

Can DA not monitor this and at least make sure this crap stays off the front page? I expect to actually see quality artwork, amazing traditional art, stunning photography, and beautiful digital works. Whatever is going needs to be fixed ASAP.

And it gets more annoying for decent artists who get about 3 favs per deviation and less than 30 views and these facebook snapshots are pulling in crazy amounts of favs/views.

I'm just really confused as to why I am seeing this on the front page everyday I check it. I think I'm going to stop looking, because I know there are amazing artists on this site, I watch them!!

Is everyone else seeing what I'm seeing or am I having a glitch like everyday? lol (I even checked to make sure I wasn't on "newest" thats how bad this artwork on the front page is currently).

I know, it's just been so terrible!! And yeah, I like to look through stuff on the popular page (to waste time too) but also find new artists who stuff I haven't seen. But apparently that is not happening any time soon. They seriously need to fix it.

Yeps, this is a plague... but to be honest I really don't know how could they fix such a thing. Art is ambiguous, so whoever posts those photos and stuff can always that those things are art to them

. I think the best we can do it's search for stuff that we like, look at the daily deviations and ignore the popular page
