Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Ok, here is my story:

A few days ago I submitted my "Pinkie Pie Party" deviation to one of my groups (now ex-group). Pretty routine, right? It's a vector/vexel group and they always accept any kind of vector/vexel work and I have never any of my work declined before. Well I get a declined message about my deviation so I comment back asking what was wrong with it because I didn't understand.

So the group person (I don't even know who she is or what she does) comments back saying that it is in the fanart category and it can't be accepted. I'm like yeah it's fanart but it was made in Illustrator and it says vector on it.

So she responds that it would confuse people. I'm like what? How is it confusing it's a vector but of fanart of a show.

And then she starts just getting nasty on me saying I need to learn the rules and stop questioning her on this, blah blah blah, she is all powerful, hail her as the new queen, blah blah blah.

So I was going to tell her that the group has perviously accepted the same kind of thing from me!! You know my other vector of Applejack? ([link]

IT'S IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS THE PINKIE PIE ONE!! Because it's fanart too but it's made in illustrator and is a vector so it was accepted.

So does it make any sense that this one can't be accepted? Oh that's right it doesn't!! Just because it's fanart doesn't mean it's not a vector/vexel! This is what I don't get at all.

Well you know what, that bitch blocked me. I mean really? For some people they jut can't admit their wrong. I know it's hard but all she had to do was say, "Oh hey I guess that is right, it is a vector so that counts, resubmit it and it'll be accepted."

Has anyone else had any issues like this or just something they would like to share/rant about? Even if it has nothing to do with DA you just go right ahead. No judging here! I promise I won't block you, unlike some other offensive, loathsome "beings". haha ;D

i haven't had any such issues but you could tell this situation to the other admins of the group

I don't know, I thought about it. But they could all be friends and side with her, unfortunately this situation is he said she said type. I don't really want to start to start a fight and deal with all the drama that comes with it. I'll just let it go but I feel a real "injustice" was done yesterday. But the world is unfair, what can ya really do? :/

Yes. I've had people claim that, because my photography picture was a 'Myspace shot' that I wasn't allowed to submit it to the group.

Haha get this I submitted some of my modeling photos to this one group and they rejected them. It just shows that some groups expectations are just unbelievably too high. They were all taken by a professional photographer and you can tell this wasn't the spur of a moment snapshot. And it was only my best ones too. So now I don't even bother trying to submit them anywhere because I don't want to see them get rejected and watch all these other blah photos get it. I'm like REALLY? They accept all these filters/actions and you can tell they have been over photoshoped.

Yeah I'm sorry that happened, I know how you feel. I feel like some of groups are kind of snooty and pretentious and only want photos from someone who has tons of pageviews, watchers, etc. And that is not what groups is about, it's to help everyone get their art out there.
